She went on to speak about the plethora of complaints that wombyn have about other wombyn. It was quite detailed. She pointed out that wombyn believe that wombyn are not historically helpful, that they get it out the mud and pull themselves up the ladder becoming the Queen Bee / Boss B#!$%. As I read her article I could clearly see that her yearning to have had an easier life was deeply rooted. This was proven when she recalled a time that she asked a well known author to mentor her. The author awkwardly laughed the request off and excused herself from the conversation rather abruptly but not before saying that the young lady didn't need a mentor. Midway through the the article the writer was posing a question to anyone that read the words on the page. "Is it true that women don't support women? Do we expect men to do it in their stead?" No, we don't expect men to do it. As a matter of fact we all know wombyn support wombyn each and everyday. That is seen in the work that we are doing here at Project Butterfly. We are creating a narrative that speaks volumes. We are advocates for holistic strategies that strengthen and empower girls. Empowering girls is our primary focus that is at the forefront of every facilitator's mind. WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING The insecure don't help each other. They believe they are impostures that can not let people too close for fear of being "found out." This is why Project Butterfly is an evolutionary movement for richly melaninated wombyn on her chrysalis journey. We help change the insecure mindset into a secure mindset. Once that occurs wombyn thrive from helping other wombyn. We help wombyn create internal balance that is mirrored externally. We then send those wombyn out into the world to help a girl achieve the same results. By helping girls of color develop positive self-images from an emotional, culturally based and psycho-social prospective we free them become inspired, enthusiastic and passionate about their life, their goals and their dreams.
positive internal development of girls and wombyn of African descent and to share the concepts and skills to direct service providers, mothers and facilitators so that they have a clear understanding as to the intended use of the Project Butterfly Book, Workbooks and other collateral materials. As Project Butterfly continues to evolve as a tool and curriculum for supporting girls and wombyn of African descent, its information has been utilized in a wide range of community, organizational and educational settings.
Change the mind. Set it in a different way then it has been. Use Project Butterfly to create a new model of understanding. Accept, believe and surrender to evolution. Peace and Blessings, Mama Raminyah, NuElder
